Must currently reside within commute radius of Santa Clara, CA
Willingness to work onsite at Santa Clara 2 days per week (Hybrid)
Expertise coding in C++ (or Java or Go)
Expertise in large-scale distributed systems and system design
Proficiency in filesystems and/or storage protocols and concepts
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to design, develop, and deliver next-generation, cloud-native SaaS products. This individual will play a pivotal role in building large-scale distributed data platforms and high-performance services that power our modern data ecosystem. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing for scale, reliability, and operational excellence in a multi-cloud environment
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
Build and deliver next-generation products designed to run efficiently as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) on leading public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
Architect and implement large-scale distributed data systems that are optimized for performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience to meet enterprise-grade requirements
Design and operationalize high-performance microservices and data pipelines, ensuring end-to-end system health, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Efficiently collaborating with product management, other cross-functional leads and teams on both technical and business strategies to improve and build the future product roadmap for Cohesity’s infinitely scalable platform.
Drive accountability for test-driven development, delivery of high-quality features and resilient enterprise-class solutions
Lead a culture of team ownership and direct individual and team accountability to improve how they work and achieve results continuously.
Participating in Agile development processes.
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
7+ years of back-end software development experience
Expert-level programming and debugging skills in C++, Go
Proven expertise in building cloud-native, distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP
Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing
Strong knowledge of system performance and scaling
Familiarity with AWS ecosytem - S3, SQS, AWS data protection services
Proven skills to solve complex problems.
Experience with debugging and diagnosing production software.
Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
Possess excellent communication and sharp analytical abilities
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
Pay Range :
The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.
