In your role as a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering a DevOps mindset across the broader Technology team. You'll serve as a mentor to fellow engineers, offering guidance to Development teams as they embrace best practices and stay current with evolving industry standards. You'll lead by setting a strong example, ensuring alignment within the Technology team, and demonstrating technical proficiency in the field of DevOps.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

• Build and prototype infrastructure patterns, tools/platforms and processes into working proofs of concept, then finalized solutions.

• Develop and implement processes, tools, and automation to improve engineering workflows

• Work with engineers across cross functional teams to implement new technologies that can improve productivity

• Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of productivity improvement initiatives through scorecards/kpi

• Stay up to date on the latest trends in productivity engineering

• Leverage tools like Jenkins to automate workflows

• Enjoys optimizing systems by investigating, removing inefficiencies, and improving process and developer workflows

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING

• Demonstrated ability to automate the provisioning and maintenance of infrastructure and services across on-prem and AWS cloud environments.

• Proficient in managing containerized applications using Kubernetes and containers in both on-premises and cloud-managed environments.

• Strong skills in Python programming, including design, debugging, and problem-solving.

• Experienced with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.

• Expert in Linux systems and Bash scripting.

• Skilled in log monitoring, observability, and analytics using tools such as ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Jenkins, including plugin management and customization.

• Familiar with Red Hat OpenShift, Artifactory, VMware ESXi, and vCenter.

• A self-driven, creative, and independent professional with a passion for learning new technologies.

• Capable of taking on diverse roles in fast-paced startup environments, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Solid understanding of data integrity, security, and business continuity principles.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field

• 5+ years of total experience in productivity engineering or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This position has a starting pay range of $MIN - $MID per year. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants.
