Cohesity is looking to expand our SaaS Operations Engineering team for our SaaS Products. You will be an Engineering forward Operations professional who can quickly find ways to simplify operations, reduce downtimes, increase observability, and manage resources at scale through creating services and automation to improve daily work. The goal of this team is to proactively find issues before customers do and mitigate or escalate to the appropriate group. We are looking for team players who have the curiosity and big picture thinking to make small changes that make big impact.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE
Manage the “Cohesity Data Management as-a-service” hosted in both AWS and Azure
Perform cause analysis, implement code fixes to resolve product defects/issues and roll them across the fleet
Understand the blast radius of the problem and quickly rollout fixes for fleet wide issues
Continuously evolve and add new metrics to better understand the fleet health.
Work with monitoring tools like Prometheus & Grafana
Code and Implement improvements as you see what affects the stability of the service.
Analyze, troubleshoot and fix issues with rapid delivery of the solution.
Collaborate with Team members, Support, Dev, CloudOps and Field teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex customer issues and orchestrate development and testing of patches/hot-fixes.
You will mentor the team- on writing maintainable code.
Design and implement tools to help support engineers self-serve on diagnosing problems thereby reducing time to resolution.
WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING
You bring 4+years of experience in developing and troubleshooting large scalable distributed systems written in C/C++ on Linux and Windows Platforms.
Strong coding, analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills including use of tools such GDB, Python Debugger.
You have experience writing services, functions, or applications using a coding language. Python experience preferred.
Problem-solver who can solve complex problems/issues.
Bring good quality assurance mindset and passion for building quality products.
Experience in developing, sustaining and operations of enterprise software.
Looking for great communication skills.
Understanding of hyper-converged storage systems architecture is a big plus.
