HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE
Design and develop modules using J2EE, AOP, Multi-threading, advanced data structures in distributed, scalable systems, Kubernetes, cloud platforms.
Work as an individual contributor in an Agile scrum team responsible for a product development using Java JEE, groovy, Oracle Database etc.
Understand key business and product objectives and remain current on storage and backup products industry
Provide technical inputs; develop, refactor, unit test product features and enhancements designed for usability, scale, performance, manageability, automation and supportability.
Work with our product team and customers to turn business requirements into released product functionality using database stored procedures written in PL/SQL & SQL
Ensure optimal database performance (including configuration, database tuning, data model, optimizing business logic and queries)Collaborate with various disciplines within engineering and outside such as product management, User experience, tech support and with customers to provide innovative solutions.
Debug and solve complex problems.
Participate on an Agile scrum team, performing peer reviews and mentoring less experienced team members
Productively work in highly collaborative agile team, coach junior team members, actively participate in knowledge sharing
Collaborate with management and work with peers and senior team members to help adopt agile development methodology in a distributed team.
Develop broad product and domain know-how as well as deep subject matter expertise in parts of the product.
Help the team develop a culture of continuous improvement and bias for action.
Generate IP for the company by filing patents.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.2+ years’ hands-on experience in software development.
Hands on development experience in programming languages such as Java, J2EE.Expertise in object-oriented and service-oriented design, and multi-threaded service/application development, Data Structures & Algorithms.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL) would be a plus, experience in creating database schemas, stored procedures and writing optimized queries
Experience with development and project tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Git.
Agile development methodologies including peer review, test automation and continuous integration
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional; cross-geo teams would be a must
Ability to work with high-performing teams and challenge yourself and the team to improve further.

This position has a starting pay range of $MIN - $MID per year$MIN - $MID per year. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants.
